The other problem with mail seems to be that some of the information has moved. For example, the unread Notification for a message and the amount of messages in the conversation have both moved to the end. Reading messages can also be more difficult: pressing vo-j no longer move right to a message if you use the preview pane, and pressing enter doesn't always put voiceovers focus on the message content.
