Scott, Downcast doesn't allow you to read RSS articles. It just does podcasts.
Brian, I think your plan has promise. I download everything and stream nothing, both on my iMac, MacBook Air and iPHone. I have 1TB storage on my iMac, 128GB on my MacBook Air and 64GB on my iPHone. I have set my iPhone and MacBook Air to only keep unplayed podcasts and to delete most played podcasts. I've also set it to only keep the most recent episode of long daily podcasts, such as New York Times and BBC World News, otherwise these can very quickly build up into a runaway train of unlistenable proportions. I'm also now about to go and do something similar for some of the other podcasts I've found myself listening to less often these days. If you're wondering, the total amount of space Downcast and its podcast episodes take up on my iPhone is 7GB. This is a fairly sizeable chunk of space, but no problem on a 64GB phone. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
