I just tested Siri out with some directions to make sure I was saying this right. Here is the way I did it, and I will give you an example. Generally, it uses your current location to start with if you are sitting somewhere or in the car. So, when I was sitting here in my house I said "Siri I need directions to 1100 Commerce St. "Siri immediately went to Maps and had the directions there and if I had been in a car they would've been spoken. It's my understanding that with iOS 7, there will be pedestrian mode also.
I do have NAVIGON, and I like it a lot. I also have the Seeing Eye GPS on my iPhone as well. I haven't used it enough yet to decide what I think about that in vehicle mode, but I do like it in pedestrian mode. In fact, I like the Seeing Eye GPS in pedestrian mode better then Navigon because it tells you further out what you're going to do. I like that so I can make a decision to use a different street than the one the application is recommending.
