Hi

On my list for tomorrow is to do a clean install back to default on my mac
(yes putting it off). Before I do, I want to try one more time to get the
time capsule up and running. We have a router that works perfectly alright
so I intend the time capsule just as a hard drive. I have it connected to
our current router via Ethernet cable with wireless turned off on the
capsule. The windows computers see the time capsule as a hard drive. The
Macbook Pro will see the time capsule and the other windows computers on the
network the first time I plug the time capsule in (the Mac is already on at
this stage). However when I turn the Macbook Pro off and then back on again
later, it only sees the time capsule. To bring all the computers back again
I have to unplug the time capsule. Does anyone have any suggestions how I
can have the Mac see the time capsule and the other computers all the time
despite shutting it down and restarting? The other option perhaps is to let
the time capsule create its own network without being plugged into the
router. Since I don't need internet access through the time capsule I could
manually switch to that network to do a back-up and switch back again? What
do you all think?

Regards
