Well, Jed, in terms of putting music on your Iphone without having to synch through ITunes, yes, this is possible; provided, that is, that you are willing to pay for a third party app solution. Here's a tip though. You see, if you make sure that all your meta data tagging follows your folder organization exactly, that is, you have your music organized in artist/Album/song order, ITunes will behave properly and not mess up your stuff when you synch it to your Iphone. At least, that's what they say. I have found that Wondershare Mobile go for IOS is great if all you wish to do is to put music on your phone, take it off again, and cause the music files on your phone to synch with ITunes. However, there do seem to be some accessibility issues of which the developer is aware. I do know of another app which can cause you to see your Iphone as though it were a drive, but, forget just plain pasting your music using that. The reason is that when either ITunes or Wondershare adds something to your Music folder, some propriarity stuff happens that I don't quite understand and that is why just regular pasting does not seem to work. So sorry if this ain't what you expected, but, it's the best I got for now. My hope is that others can help you better: for, you see, I too am interested in this question.
