I think the general consensus on the best RSS reader for the mac since the demise of google reader is Read Kit. I believe I got it in the mac store for $5 U.S. Hope this helps. For the most part it is accessible, and has only a few unlabeled buttons in the preferences, but you can use a few work arounds to figure out what they are.
