Well-said, Scott. You should never be afraid to admit you don't know something and ask for assistance. One of the biggest problems I see in the support business are the representative who feel they must answer a question even if they don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. I do consulting and training, and the first thing I acknowledged is that I'd much rather admit that I don't know something. I think consumers are more interested that you do the research and answer their question rather than pretend you know something when you don't. So you did nothing wrong here.
