I have Lion on my internal drive and "mountain Lion" on an external. I can go to properties and my I Mac to start in either OS and it does. My question is why can I not update my mountain Lion but can the Lion?
A simple answer is you can not on a external. i will be purchasing Maverick. Should all Os's be on the internal drive?
