Hey Chris, Thanks. I have read about these also. There seem to be a billion 
different kinds, of course all of them talk about blocking out noise while you 
are on a plane, not blocking out noise caused by planes flying over your home 
nonstop. For the expense, I want to make sur eI go with the model best suited 
for my needs. Quite frustrating trying to decide. It looks like all of the Bose 
models are out of my price range, so that at least eliminates them.
