When you say 'regular' do you mean a USB keyboard or a regular bluetooth? I haven't tried it but there were lots of messages on this list talking about hooking bluetooth keyboards to iOS devices. There is no USB port on iOS devices but that's not to say somebody hasn't come up with some kind of dongle which will allow you to do that. Probably not worth the cost compared to just getting a bluetooth keyboard.
