Nope, no joke, I thought the same thing too until I tried it and actually read a chapter and a half of a book I've been looking at on the other Kindle keyboard with just speech, with my bluetooth braille display connected to my iPhone. Talk about nice, and I hear that all the rest of the books are available, no matter if speech is enabled or not now, since we can read them with voiceover. I'm really excited, and being a librarian at the Regional Library for the Blind here in Alabama, I've got a few patrons who are kindle users to a degree and this is exactly what we and they have been waiting for. I'm pumpe because my wife and I have had a kindle for a while her longer than me, because they just a few years ago allowed for accessibility of sorts, in the Kindle Keyboard, so we've got a ton of books, now that the app is accessible I am going to be a reading fool.
