I don't think you will ever win the game of trying to figure out when the next MacBook will come out, especially since Apple seems to be less predictable about the timing of new product releases then they used to be. I purchased my MacBook last November and I expect to remain content with it for quite some time. I would say go ahead and purchase now if that is in fact what you decide to do.
