Matt asked:

"I'm wondering if any of you have found any white noise generators that work
well with VoiceOver?
It doesn't matter if they are web based or not, but any suggestions would be
welcome."

Yes, two sources. The first is a web site chuck full of sound source test material Here is the page for the various "colors" of noise.

http://www.audiocheck.net/testtones_whitenoise.php

The second is an good audio manipulation application in general that includes the ability to generate test sources of one's own choice among many other audio playback and recording functions.
