Hi Brian, it's not your lucky day I'm afraid. Twitter has phased out RSS support, and yes Google Reader is being discontinued at the end of June.
In terms of alternatives to Reader, there's a lot of flux just now. Digg is supposed to be building an alternative platform, and there is another called Feeddly. I had some accessibility issues with their iOS app though. The developer of my iOS RSS reader of choice, Feeddler, indicated that Feeddler wouldn't be going away and that we should await further developments. So it may pay to stick with Reader until closer to the time to see how things pan out.
