Hi,

Answers below:

Q: As the topic says, I wonder if it's possible to buy a Mac Mini Server,

A: Basically, yes. There would be some performance and syncing issues though
depending on your connectivity. If it's primarily music you're accessing, I
suggest you simply subscribe to iTunes Match. This will put all your music up
in iCloud making it accessible to you wherever you are.

> Q: If so, have anyone here tried it, and does it work well?

A: You can share your media files using the Server but the actual iTunes
Library database does not work properly in this configuration. Therefore, if
you change items within playlist and such on one machine, it will not affect
the others connecting to the media files. Also, if you add or delete items,
they do not show up on other machines unless you do some sort of update each
time. With this in mind, that's why I've chosen to subscribe to the iTunes
Match service myself. These issues are dealt with well using the iTunes Match
service.

> Q: Do I need to, and is it possible to setup the Mac to be aVPN server?

A: You wouldn't need to set it up as a VPN server although you could. Yes, it
is possible to do so.

HTH.
