How do I read windows? Is it possible to selectindividual ones, or just one
button for everything that's available?
For writing, do I have the same optionsas with other Windows screen
readers, and how are they navagated?

To check for software updates, use VO M, which brings up the Apple menu.
Arrow down to software updates and press enter. The app store window will
open on the updates page and the check will begin.
Depending on your computer, it will take a few seconds to check.
After that, the list of updates will be shown, and a button to press will
appear to install all updates.
