Hi, I recommend not using the rotor at all. this might just be personal preference but, I find the regular Mac OS navigation commands for text work just fine. To read by line, just use the up or down arrows. If you want to reread the current line, use the voiceover command, VO L to do that. To read by word, press option plus the left or right arrow. Keep in mind, you need to have quick nav turned off..
