Hi William I jus use the mp3 converter app which is already on the mac. It makes very large mp3s but it does the job. I get there from the menu, open with, and then choose mp3 converter. It opens iTunes when it finishes but doesn't put the file in the iTunes library unless you play it. I'm sure there are more elegant solutions out there but it does work. Lisette
