You have to interact with the table of stations, and then actually double click on the station you want to switch to. But you can select a default station in preferences.
I'm not sure if you know how to double click with VoiceOver, so here's how: 1. On the station name, press VO-command-function-F5 to move the mouse curser there. 2. Press VO-shift-space twice quickly. Also, there are unlabeled buttons, so let me explain those: The first checkbox is labeled stations. it shows or hides the stations list. The next checkbox is to play or pause. The button after that is to skip. Then you'll usually see the song name and artist, though sometimes it is hidden. After that is a button for thumbs up, and then another for thumbs down. Then you'll see the album name. Everything is pretty intuitive from there.
