Just interact with the text and move around in the usual way. Add shift to any 
movement command to select, such as shift-cmd-right to select to the end of the 
line, then cmd-c to copy. Remember that quicknav must be off, and that pressing 
any arrow key without shift, even if it is with another modifier, will 
de-select everything.
