Tell me more about this CMD-Option-R in VLC? You say you can record a video stream, like, from your lid cam? Can you give me a nudge as to where to start to set that up? I know I can do video streams, at least short ones, with Photo booth, but I'd like a simple way to capture video in the fashion of a Nanny Cam but with my MBP's lid cam. Sorry this is off thread; I'll tweak the subject.
