Hey Chris,

Well, what I use all the time is a thing called ftp on the go pro. It's not
free, but I love it. It's accessible averywhere, as far as I discovered. I can
upload, download, create and delete folders locally and remotely etc.

There's one thing you should be aware of though, because files you download can
get lost in the app. That is to say, its data grows, but you cannot find the
file you downloaded. This happens, if you do not choose a destination local
folder to begin with. So, if you are going to download, first double tap the
saved files tab, which is one of the five buttons across the bottom row, and
from saved files, create a subdirectory there. I call mine test. Go into it by
double tapping its name, and you have an empty folder. Now, if you go back to
the ftp tab, select your file by swiping to it, then find its menu button which
is one flick to the right from its name, and tapping that, you will get the
option to download. The file will then fall into your saved files, inside ftp
on the go pro.

You can even batch download an entire directory tree. In the downloads tab, you
can then monitor the progress. Don't lock your screen during transfers; Just
let it do its thing. It's a wonderful tool, also for voiceover users on the
iphone.

Hth,
Paul.
