Hi there I had a similar situation recently, except mine was with Notes. I found out how to crash Notes, and I did it good. In the process, I had a situation where my Notes on the iPhone were right and my Mac refused to sync with the iPhone and get the Notes right.
Let me see if I can remember what we did because I had to call that 877 number for Accessibility support with Apple. We had to do one of those Remote Advisor sessions, but here's what I remember. Maybe it will help, and if I have left anything out, someone can jump in here. I had to go into icloud.com and sign off of icloud. I was warned to save Contacts on my Mac, which I did. Then we changed the Notes on my Mac by deleting the ones that were not supposed to be on there. Then I got back onto the Cloud and we let the Mac sync with the Cloud. This is the best idea I can come up with.
