You're on your own there. I use Internet Explorer and JAWS almost exclusively for internet browsing (old habits die hard). Although, NVDA is equally up to the challange as far as internet browsing is concerned - so I'm told. I know that it is a reasonable alternative to JAWS in MS Office programs and will probably work as well as JAWS in most applications, except those where JAWS has developed special scripts that NVDA doesn't have also.

Good Luck

Thanks so much for the info Phil. I will definitely take a listen to
these podcasts, as this is a big process that I am planning to start
later this week or weekend, as I have never partioned a drive, or used
a virtual machine, or another screen reader besides voiceover, but am
looking forward to the challenge. Any idea how well NDVA navigates
google groups? I have to use auto webspots to navigate with VO and
then arrow through the responses , and of course every time google
takes me to the new google groups it is pretty inaccessible with VO. I
am hoping the windows side of using a screen reader might work better
with these groups and other sites that I have similar issues with.
Thanks.

Hey all,

I finally got around to ordering an external hard drive for my mac. It
is the 3 TB from Seagate. I am curious what people think is best, as
do I need to partion the drive as I would like to use part of it for
Time Machine, and set aside another part to run Windows 7. Do people
find it easiest to use VM Fusion, and what would you suggest as a
screen reader for the windows side? I have never used a full screen
reader in Windows as I was able to still see the last time I used
windows. I am thinking about giving Windows Eyes or NDVA a try?
Thoughts? One last question, as I plan to do a clean install of
Mountain Lion which I am hoping will fix a lot of the busy busy
problems I have been having. Any advice for reinstalling Mt. Lion
using voiceover? Or is best to get some sighted assistance to set all
of this up? Thanks so much.
