Did you read my entire e-mail?  I mentioned that if it didn't work with vo+F1, 
then try fn+vo+F1.  Basically, just add the fn key as well.

    Yes.  Vo+F1.  If you do it twice in a row, you'll land in the app chooser 
menu of all your currently running applications.

    Mind you, if vo+F1 doesn't work, then try fn+vo+F1.
