Not really in my experience. You have to actually edit all of the tracks on the get info screen, command+I, and put the same artist for all of them. I think technically that box is? supposed to make a difference? yes, but it never really worked when I used it.

Yes, it was a soundtrack from a musical. I didn't look to see if the box was checked.
Would that change how it imports things?
