Thanks for checking. I'm just happy that they can be redeemed on the mac. I have never even gotten a giftcard, but if I ever do, I will be able to use it, and you're probably right that the feature will become available on Idevices in a future software update.

There is a feature in iTunes 11 that gives you the ability to redeem gift cards using the camera on the Mac.
