No, they shouldn't get all mixed everywhere.  What she's saying is that you can 
copy the songs from your folder, create a playlist, then paste the songs into 
the playlist you've created.  I've never done it this way but I believe it 
should work just fine.  When you paste into the Playlist, the items will be 
added to both the Playlist and the Main Library.
