This is half the regular price of $99.99, and is only good for the next slightly over four hours. If you've never purchased a MacUpdate promo before, you'll need to create a user account that involves a one- time negotiation of a CAPTCHA. This gives you access to all your receipts of purchases, serial numbers, and download links for the applications you purchased at any later time. There is a trial download link from the mupromo.com page, but I believe it's for the previous version of the software, version 8.2. That means if you're running Mountain Lion it won't pass the new GateKeeper security, I think. And if you purchase it, you'll need to upgrade in order to run the license. If you do decide to buy the product, you should download the full, current version of the app: http://www.abbyydownloads.com/FRMACLion/ABBYY_FineReader_Express.dmg That way, you don't need to update versions from the trial version, and you can just enter the serial number to run this. Sorry for the late catch, but I picked this up off another list. ABBYY FineReader Express will OCR to multiple languages -- most European languages and Russian, but not Asian languages like Chinese.
