It may be obvious, but has the computer been left to charge for a couple of hours in a working power outlet? ARe the cord's connections secure? Are there any lights on the machine indicating that it is connected to a power source? AFter these basic items, has anything recently happened to the machine which could interfere with its operation, such as water damage?
