Thanks, Alex, that help was brilliant! With the Save Attachments… I had tried using three dots, but of course it didn't work. Option semicolon is a great little trick. And the VO-Shift-C (another keystroke I wasn't really aware of) worked a charm for syncing my iPhone in iTunes. I think the problem I was having with sharing via Twitter and Facebook in Safari was due to a conflict with another keystroke, but it seems to be working now with just command-shift-T.
