I am trying to set up a bluetooth headset, LG Tone, on a Mac Mini with 10.8.2.
My goal is to use the headset for VoiceOver, and an audio system for playing
the various sounds like movies and music. I was able to have everything set up
properly, but noticed every time I disconnected or turned off the bluetooth
headset, I would lose VoiceOver altogether. The settings in VoiceOver Sounds
has output to default. This theoretically means the bluetooth set and then
internal speaker when the headset is disconnected. Additionally, I receive an
error message stating that an error occurred with the audio headset and if I
would stop using it. When I reconnect the bluetooth headset, I have to simply
restart my system as Voice Over no longer is broadcasted through any of the
speaker options.

The main system preferences sound output is set to the main external speakers.
I had to additionally change my output in VLC, as it was set to default like
Voice Over is.

Any Ideas? I am just not properly disconnecting something?
