Hi all,
I was again working with a friend on his mac, and we started to tackle mail.
Since his wife uses the computer more often, they set him up a smart mailbox to
capture all his messages, but mail is primarily under her account. I suggested
making him his own account on the mac, so that we can set up mail to work
normally, remove the favorites bar in safari, let him add only his own
favorites, and all that.

Now, the oddity. In my own mail, I hear something like this as I move through
my inbox:
unread button, sender name, subject, timestamp
However, in my friend's smart mailbox, vo read things much more like a table:
blank, blank, blank, unread, sender name, subject, timestamp
and, if you interacted with the table, you could vo-left/right through these
items, something I can't do in my own mail program. Is this strange behavior
normal and my mail program is the oddity, or is it something to do with the
smart mailbox? Once I get his mail set up in a fresh account on the mac, will
it behave like that smart mailbox or like my own? I'd rather it be like mine,
as I found his setup far too verbose and confusing (things read differently
depending on if he interacted or not, and he's still new to the mac, so I'd
rather not have to deal with details like that). Any suggestions would be
helpful. Thanks.

Have a great day,
Alex (msg sent from Mac Mini)
