Try this. Highlight the virtual machine and press command+e to open the
settings for it. There is an item there for the sound card, what does
it say? Perhaps I can look at this for you on the way to Jefferson City
on Friday while on the train.

Hi all;
i am running fusion version 4.1 on a mac air under the latest version of ML.
this is the second time that i have had this error occur. the last
time i had to completely delete the vm and create a new one. here is
the exact text of the error;
error in starting sound stream
sound is disconnected
ok
both times this error has occurred when i woke up the computer in the morning.
please help with solutions if there are any. i just got this vm set up
the way i like it again…
