Hi, Most likely not. It's due to a decoding problem. You might try updating VLC to the latest version and see if the problem goes away. I'm playing ogg files in using VLC and have no problems. The VLC version I have is 2.0.3 64-bit. Interesting it says 64-bit, but I have a 32-bit Mac. Anyways, try that. Also, try encoding your files using constant nitrate instead of variable and see if that works.
