Hello Maria, First of all, don't confuse hotspots with hotkeys. Hotspots are a VO feature that allows you to mark items and return to them or monitor them from elsewhere in the same aplication. Hotkeys are a feature of Pages and are set in the Styles tables. They use the keys F1 through F8 and you set them by focusing on the style you want, then getting a contextual menu, in this case simply by pressing VO-Space.
Pages is a complex application that requires a thorough knowledge of VO if you don't want to be tearing your hair out.
