Hi, I don't even need time. lol. They are definitely better. They have a little nozzle that directs sound directly into your ear canal. This way, less sound is bled out the back like the old model. It just sounds better. But, they are what they are. run of the mill headphones. I don't find them terribly comfortable for long use. Not as bad as the old headphones though. You get a little more bass response and more mids with the earPods. I still won't use them though. They will do in a pinch but, I'll keep on with my Shure 215 IEMs.
