I just completed bootcamp. I needed assistance for one step and that was about it. I don't have a pimping system like others on here but I don't find it to run slow. As far as switching back and forth, I just held the option key down once I heard the music, I have a little vision, so I saw the different drives and new to press right arrow once, then press enter and windows will load.
