Hello Harry, The best GPS app for iPhone is a very subjective matter. It very much depends whether you mind having a 3G connection while using it or not.
I like Navigon because its maps reside on the phone so it doesn't download data. The version I have works all over Europe as long as I remember to download the appropriate maps. However, I also like Ariadne GPS as an add-on, because it keeps me updated as to where I am, and alerts me to the favourites I've put in. It does need an internet connection, however, so I can't use it outside my home country without incurring huge charges! These two apps work together since Navigon happily runs in the background. Quite a number of people use these two apps together, but I'm sure others will have different suggestions since there are several GPS apps that only work in the US.
