If they ever make it possible to use acapella voices with vo on Ios devices, I'd start saving up for an IPhone right away. As it is, my one of the things I'm dreading the most, apart from having to learn the touch screen, is dealing with Samantha on a constant basis. I can't explain why, but that voice just irritates me beyond all reason. It's why I bought a booksense instead of a victor reader. I'm sure it would be possible to make infovox voices for IOS, and I understand that they'd have to be purchased separately, but I sure wish they'd make it allowable to use voices from other venders. Nuance is seriously over-rated in my opinion . Infovox voices are great, and if there's no way to make Alex for IOS, I think we should be able to use infovox if we want to. I have Acapella Rachel on my antique htc s743 windows 6.1 cell phone, and she works great! _____

They've come down considerably in price too since I bought my first mac. I still use Alex in Vo, but I use Infovox Tracy for my system voice/growl notifications. I have all of the English speaking infovox voices, and really like them. Some of them have some weird pronunciation issues, but then again, what tts voice doesn't have that problem? I'd take the Infovox voices over the Nuance/realSpeak voices any ttime. I hope this helps! _____ From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Krysti .Power Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2012 12:13 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Infovox ivox mananger/voices Has anyone ever tried/bought a voice if so how's the quality -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
