Hi Andrew, What's probably happening is that the logic of the arguments in your rules may exclude all items and thus create an empty playlist. After you've added a second rule, there is an option where you can ask it to match either All or Any of your rules. You need to think about what you're asking it to do and determine whether your rules, when combined will do what you want. Here's how I'd do your situation:
Rule 1: "• Kind" "is" "MPEG audio file" - (Note that MPEG is in caps and the rest is not, that is important when using the "is" comparison) • "Media Type" "is" "Music" • "Genre" "is not" "Classical" (this is given that you've properly set the Genre for your classical music as such) • In this case, I believe that you'd want it to match All rules. The checkbox to Match only checked items is likely immaterial here but the Live Updating is handy as it will automatically add things to this playlist as you add items to your Library. HTH. Later...
