This is one of my biggest problems with Mountain Lion, as I would consider myself a power mac user meaning I do things very quickly, and I had not problem clicking VO space bar in Lion and selecting items, now half the time when I VO space bar on something in Mountain Lion it doesn't select it. I guess I will have to get in the habit of not hitting all three keys at the same time which is a very vvery poor design flaw in my opinion
