I figured it out.
Go to system preferences, then go to mail.
From there select in the list which account you want it on.
After that stop interacting with the list and scroll down to the add
button.
It will open a menu with Twitter as one of the options.
Click it, type in your log in info and your done.
After that you can open the notification center and send tweets from it.
My twitter username is Howtobeblind.
