Hi, everyone, I am in the process of exploring Pages and getting ready for my internship, so I want to be comfortable changing fonts in Pages as needed. I am trying now to change to Times New Roman. I type some text and select it, although this is probably not even necessary, and I then press command+T. There is a search box where I could type in a font name, but instead I go over to font family and choose "All fonts." I then go down in the list of provided fonts until I find "Times new Roman." I stop interacting, adjust the size of the font, and then press the close button. I check the font, and it says, "Times," with the correct point size. It does not say "Times new Roman," and from what I am reading on the Internet, these two are different. I have also seen "Times Roman."
It is my goal to become as proficient with Pages as possible so I can confidently move about. Although not all things are probably doable at this point, much more is possible than I previously thought. I also understand that it is possible to use the templates with the placeholder text. I have found in the past that Pages and Numbers both tend to select the wrong template at times. There is one particular template, in particular, that Numbers never selects. I think it is the grade book template, if I remember right. So anyway, I am off to explore more about Pages; in the meantime, however, I wanted to see if anyone else was familiar with these points. Thanks, guys, and take care, Harry -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
