Hi, OF course, we all know that ITunes can rip CD's. We also know that ITunes tries to be cute when adding ripped files to the library and no matter what I do, I cannot get ITunes to behave so that when I rename a file, or group of files from a CD, ITunes honors that renaming in it's library. About the only thing I know to do is to throw out the entire library, and reinitialize it using backup files from my time machine disk (from which I would take only the Iphone apps I have), and start all over again. OF course, Simply Burns ripps too; but, the way it does it is to rip CD's in to image files which I then have to convert to .M4a and then to mp3.
So, can anybody out there recommend a good ripping app which will rip directly to mp3 from CD and will NOT add to the ITunes library? Sincerely, The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!!
