Hi Mike.
The only time I get the Finer Busy is when I am wanting to call up an external
drive, like a thumb drive, that either has nothing yet on it or has a lot of
files. I think it is a VoiceOver thing because when I turn VoiceOver off, it
will stop doing out If I am copying a folder or file to the external drive, I
have found it works to ignore VoiceOver for a little bit, press command v and
then turn VoiceOver off and wait and about 30 seconds or until you hear the
drive turn off. I think it is some better because it used to be that even
waiting didn't help.

When this happened to me while back and I messed up an NLS book cartridge
before I knew what to do, I took my Mac Book Pro to the Apple store for a
genius bar appointment. The Apple person said he was going to turn this in as a
bug report. So, I think they know about it.
