Hey all, I know there has been some discussion on this topic, so I'd thought I'd post my steps.
I was in the edit field that says something like what are you doing? It is for updating your status. I had quick nav off and I interacted with the edit field. When I was ready to tag a friend, I placed the at-sign before typing my friend's name. It told me the top choice automatically chosen, if that was correct, I only had to hit enter. Otherwise, I arrowed down the list to the friend I wanted, then press enter. Once you select your friend, your cursor is directly to the right of the name, so you need to press spacebar, or whatever punctuation you may want. I was so pleased it was so easy. Lol, I had some sighted assistance just in case anything went wrong. I was initially chicken to press enter, I was afraid a weird half written status would post. Good luck, hope this helps.
