Hi. Let's see if I can explain how it works, because it's a bit tricky to explain: After you've entered a name of a person in the search field in the toolbar, you can use the up and down arrows to choose where you wanna search. You can choose between the body text, the from field and the subject field. Please note that when you've chosen one of these categories, you can't spell what you've writen by using the arrow keys. The text you've written will be shown as a group. The reason for that is because you can make multiple groups. Let's take an example to clear up any confusion my explanation might give: You can find this mail by doing the following: Copy my name to your clipboard because of the danish letter in my name: Søren Jensen Go to your inbox and find the search field in the toolbar Paste in my name, press the down arrow to VOiceover says: From: Søren Jensen, popup button press return and then press the spacebar to make a new search category. Type this subject: Searching mail, and then press the down arrow again until you come to: subject and press the return key again. Now you have these two categories which you can read by pressing the left and right arrow keys.
Now, back to your question on how to search in mails in your trash folder: When you've typed in the name of the person you wanna search for, chosen that you wanna search in the from field and then pressed the return key, stop interacting with the toolbar and then move the VO cursor right to the favorite group. I'm sorry if I got that item wrong in english since my system is currently in danish. Interact with this group and there you can choose what folder you wanna see the search results from.
