I haven't tried it but some people just use iCal and set the alarm
action to play a sound. Of course you have to have your machine on and
such for this to work :)

Obviously, i know about the one on the IPhone. I use it all the
time. Works like a charm! I just would like something for the mac as
well. I kind a recall seeing something a while back, but that was
back when I used Tiger, way way way back in the days, and I totally
forget the name of what it was, or if it would be Lion compatible.
