I went through a phase of downloading numerous todo apps. I settled on an app called todo by appigo. The IOS version is completely accessible and is a bit more powerful than your average todo or reminder style app. If your in to GTD then you'll probably like the app. It will sync with the Mac version. This is not quite as accessible, mostly doable but not as nice as the IOS version. You can sync via iCloud or dropbox amongst others. It's not as cheap as some of the other solutions.
Todo List is available on the iPhone as well as the mac. I can't remember why I didn't settle on it. It was perfectly fine, I don't think it had enough options for setting reoccurring items.
